Thank you for your questions and interest in our papers. Thank you for spotting my error in our 2022 paper. In our 2019 BMJ Open paper, in Table 2 13/32 (which is 41%) of affected papers had findings that would likely change. In our 2022 paper this is incorrectly stated as 13/36 (36%). I will ask Accountability in Research to correct our 2022 paper. The 2019 BMJ Open paper is correct – by April 2019, 27/33 of affected trial reports had been retracted. One further affected trial report was retracted later in 2019. Thus the 2022 paper is also correct, as the literature search took place later in 2019. In the 2022 paper, the number is 82: 72 publications were listed on Web of Science and an additional 10 publications were listed on Scopus but not listed on Web of Science, of which 67/82 (82%) had at least one citation in 2021.
